Jeepney Art

Lately, during my daily commutes to work, I have been more and more fascinated with Jeepney art.  I love the fact that jeepney drivers put their individual personalities into their jeeps.  The result of their expression is an elaborate and decadent hodge podge of colors and frills.  The inspirations for these designs can range from social aspirations, love, or the driver’s favorite NBA player (As illustrated in the last picture).  The best part about all this art is that they are all put onto the vehicle by hand.  Sometimes I like to take a couple of seconds to appreciate the splashes of color provided me by these jeeps during my morning commute because I feel that the love and care put into these pieces are deserving of my attention.
